Our original logo (shown here, as it appears on our travel trailer) was designed by Jean Hartman, of Fairbanks, AK. Jean was a local artist and a beloved Fairbanks Sweet Adeline for many years. She started with the double treble clef symbol from our parent organization (Sweet Adelines International), placing it in the center of her design. Next, she added the stylized words “Sweet Adelines” and “Fairbanks, Alaska” around the outside of the graphic. A circle with scattered forget-me-nots was then added to the design, to represent Alaska’s state flower. Jean passed away recently, but her beautiful logo has endured. We honor her memory by displaying it proudly on our chorus ‘spirit shirts’ and our travel trailer.
The logo (above) is a modified version of the original, designed by current chorus member Lorri Heneveld, of North Pole, AK. The new image features brighter colors, more white space, and a curved 3-D shadow. The forget-me-not color scheme (blue, yellow, and white) can be seen throughout our website’s layout, design, and text. It was replaced in the summer of 2023 by a new design.
This updated logo was designed for us by the design department at AutoTrim, primarily for use on our new trailer, purchased in the summer of 2023.
